Jen St. Stjärna is an experimental composer, singer and pianist. Her debut album, "Horizon," was produced by Colin Sipos of Clava Studios in Chicago. On that project, she played a concert Grotrian piano. The album floats around many different musical genres with the unmistakable voice of Jen St. Stjärna, which ribbon through each. Since recording this project, Jen's compositions have exposed her classical roots and made use of current influences to go outside of constraints of song structure and pop music creating something quite human.

"St. Stjärna's voice has the sweet, softness of Norah Jones or Lena Horne, a slight hint of the smoky voice of Lee and the soulful strength of Bessie Smith."

Leena Dbouk - Spartanburg Herald Journal / http://www.85-26.com/

“The standout songstress was Jen St. Stjärna,.. Her downtrodden lyrics - about a summer in her aunt's house where plastic slipcovers shroud everything, or about the elusiveness of everlasting love -make an interesting counterpoint to her upbeat melodies... terrific on the keyboards, St. Stjärna’s future as a recording artist is full of promise.”

Scott Hill - Chicago Stage Review

Piano songstress Jen St. Stjärna opened the show with a couple of powerful original songs. “Dead Reckoning” is a raw, extinguishing-of-the-torch song about someone trying to navigate a love that ought to really be abandoned; a point St. Stjärna refers to as when “fantasy hits gravity.”

Scott Hill - Chicago Stage Review

"A Chicago native now residing in the Upstate, singer-songwriter and pianist Jen St. Stjarna crafts experimental and thought-provoking material inspired by such artists as Joni Mitchell and Tori Amos."
